Mehdi Mostafa to Echorouk: “I am eager to live the amazing moments of July 5th Stadium”

Algerian international Mostafa Mehdi returned to the Desert Warriors’ squad after playing the match with his French club Nimes against Remes.

Echorouk: What is the secret behind your return to the principle squad of Nimes club?

Mostafa Mehdi: Coach Tousi summoned me to play against Remes and included me as a principle player. Thanks Allah I think I showed a good performance and felt that I enjoy good fitness. This is the most important thing.

Echorouk: But you lost the captain badge?

Mostafa Mehdi: Frankly, I did not understand the coach’s decision because he surprised me when he granted the captaincy to another player. I do not want to comment on the coach’s decision because I prefer focusing on the upcoming matches both in the championship or cup.

Echorouk: Are you thinking about the winter season?

Mostafa Mehdi: Actually I prefer focusing on the remaining matches and when the winter season opens I will decide.

Echorouk: Do you mean you will leave your club?

Mostafa Mehdi: I did not take a decision in the current time and I prefer waiting for the right moment to announce the final decision

Echorouk: You played the first match with the Algerian squad against Luxemburg. What do you think about you first match with the Desert Warriors?

Mostafa Mehdi: Frankly, I found all the help and care to integrate in the squad, thing which eased my task in order to play without any difficulties. I think I provided what was required of me, however, only coach Benchikha can judge my performance. I only wish that I did not disappoint him.

Echorouk: the Algerian coach said that the new players showed a good performance. This talk may encourage you and increase your self confidence.

Mostafa Mehdi: Benchikha’s statements already encourage me and give me self confidence in order to work hard to stay in the Algerian team as long as possible.

Echorouk: Algeria will face Tunisia in a friendly match on February 9. Did you think about it?

Mostafa Mehdi: Honestly, I am eager to discover the atmosphere of July 5^th Stadium, especially since many of my friends told me about such amazing moments. I wish I will remain among the list of players to participate in this friendly match in order to show my performance to the Algerian fans.
