Mercenaries and drug smugglers involved in the kidnapping of Spanish tourists in Mauritania

The Mauritanian authorities issued an international arrest warrant against the dangerous terrorist “ Mokhtar Belmokhtar” who operates in the Algerian desert also known “Khaled Abu Alabes”, nicknamed “ Al Awar”.

• Other terrorists, charged in absentia, linked to the case of “ Omar Essahraoui” accused of masterminding the kidnapping of the Spanish tourists for the benefit of the terrorist organization” Salafit group for Call and Combat”.

• The examining magistrate in charge of terrorism at the court of Nouakchott, Mauritania, has issued yesterday an arrest warrant against the leader of the “veiled squad” , Belaouar as part of the indictment of Omar Essahraoui in the abduction of the three Spanish tourists on the Mauritanian soil on November 29, the Mauritanian and French Press Agencies reported.

• According to the arrested terrorists’ revelations, the kidnapping was carried out by hired mercenaries specialized in the international drug trafficking for the benefit of the ring leader, known as Belaouar.
