Military troops to secure oil and gas facilities
The Algerian Poplar Army High Command has summoned the regional commands to dispatch its troops and set up additional barracks around the oil and gas facilities as well as the strategic complexes based in the remote parts of the desert.
These stringent security measures came following the deadly terrorist attack on the gas plant of Tiguentourine , Ain Amenass, that caused the death of several foreign expatriates two weeks ago.
Security sources have revealed to Echourouk that the Major General Gaid Salah has convened the commanders of the fourth, sixth, third and second military region early this week and instructed them to dispatch troops around the gas and oil plants.
Similar measures should be applied in the power plants to prevent any other terrorist attack in the future , knowing that the notorious Belmokhtar has pledged to carry out other terrorist acts in the future.
These measures came following revelations made by the terrorists captured alive during the military assault of Tinguentourine, revealing that the terrorist group were planning to carry out future attacks confirming, thus, the assertions made by the spokesman of attackers on a telephone call to Nouakchott agency.
