Ministers' new year wishes

Using simple and popular language, Algerian Ministers expressed their wishes for the New Year 2009.  

• Belkhadem: Bouteflika’s third term
• Personal representative of the President, Abdelaziz Belkhadem, said: “I hope peace and security will prevail  in Algeria and I wish prosperity for its people, and as head of the FLN political party, I will do all my best to help president Bouteflika win the third term”.

• Soltani: More solidarity among Arabs

• Minister of State, President  of HMS party, Abou Djarra Soltani said: “I hope Israel will lift blockade on our brothers in the Gaza strip, and I wish Arab regimes remember  that Palestine and Iraq are part of the Arab world.
• Zerhouni: development  of Algeria’s administration
• Minister of Interior, Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni said: “I hope peace in Algeria. I wish Algerian administration will develop and benefit from modernization in order to meet citizens’ needs and achieve a future economic development.”

• Karim Djoudi: Algeria must develop its economy  

• Minister of Finance, Karim Djoudi, said: “My wish is that Algeria could develop its economy. I hope we could create a strong national economy, ready for international competition, in order to create more jobs for Algerian youth , thus protecting the national economy”.

• Tayeb Louh: Peace and more development during Bouteflika’s third term

• Minister of Labor, Ettayeb Louh said: “Peace in Algeria and more development during Bouteflika’s third term. I wish Africa and Arab world, as well as underdeveloped countries could face up with the new financial challenges”.

• Omar Ghoul: Avoid Oil markets’ changes

• Minister of Public Works, Omar Ghoul, said: “The government bet on realizing more stability and peace to achieve the long term projects  up to 2025. I wish Algeria’s economy  could get rid of oil dependency”.

• Ammar Tou: Delivering the metro project fora better future.

• Minister of Transportation, Ammar Tou, said: “My priority is to complete the sector’s project as soon as possible, especially the metro and tramway projects in Algiers, in order to facilitate commuters daily life”.

• Noureddine Moussa: Solve the housing problem

• Minister of Housing, Noureddine Moussa, said: “My priority is to solve the problem of housing in Algeria and meet any  citizen dream to own a house.

• Azzedine Mihoubi: Glittering days for Algerians in 2009

• Secretary of State in charge of communication, Azzedine Mihoubi, said: “I hope better days for the Algerians in 2009. Let’s be far from the global financial crisis, so that Algerians could achieve their wishes for a better life”.

• Ismail Mimoun: Prosperity for all Algerians and qualify to World Cup finals 

• Minister of Fisheries, Ismail Mimoune, said: “I hope more development in the maritime activity. I hope Algerian football team will qualify to the world cup. Freedom for all colonized peoples”.
