Ministers summon FLN Secretary General do resign at earliest
Eight ministers affiliated to the old party National Liberation Front (FLN) have yesterday summoned the Secretary General Abdelaziz Belkhadem to announce his resignation during the party’s upcoming Central Committee’s session, expressing their exclusive commitment to apply the president Bouteflika’s program.
They have declared that they are no more accountable to Belkhadem as of Wednesday.
In a communiqué signed yesterday by Abdelaziz Ziari, Mohammed Khodri, Abdelkader Messahel, Moussa Ben Hammadi, Ammar Tou, Rachid Ben Aissa and Tayeb Louh, the protesters have vehemently lambasted Belkhadem accusing him of “ attempting to use the party’s means for his personal purposes”.
The communiqué, that Echourouk received a copy, also read” Belkhadem’s mibehaviors have taken alarming proportions and contradict the party’s ideological line”.
The protesters have summoned Belkhadem to resign voluntarily and announce it right now in order to leave room for the election of a consensual Secretary General and avoid further dissentions.
