Mokri's proposal to support Benflis angered MSP Shura Council

MSP’s Shura Council refused to elate granting the authorization for leaders to support one of the candidates for the Presidential Elections, the two former Prime Ministers, Ali Benflis or Benbitour, claiming that the first is calculated on the system and did not offer anything, and the second is unpopular, insisting on the closure of the debate on the Presidential Elections, by taking the decision to boycott them, even if Bouteflika will not run for the Fourth Term.

Although the option to boycott the Presidential Election seemed semi-clear through the results of opinion poll, that was carried out by the movement across the cities, but the final decision that was taken by the Shura Council, in the week end, was not at the level of MSP leadership’s expectations, led by Abderazaq Mokri, who has announced his candidacy earlier.

Works of the Shura Council noticed a distinct atmosphere, because of the votes which refused to tow the party to new divisions, if the competition door will open for the two prominent names, Abderazak Mokri and his predecessor, Abou Djarra Soltani, who eased his fears asking for a point of order and said: ” I will not run for the elections”, c

ommitted to the follow-up of the work session to the end. 

Echorouk sources said this position received approbation by the supreme body , but he embarrassed Mokri, who found himself in the face of a difficult decision that the Shura Council insisted on adopting, because it comes to the fate of the movement, that was subject to consecutive destruction, in the legislative and local elections, due to its lower results.
