More than 1500 evangelists launch a fierce campaign against Muslim saints

“ Echorouk” was informed that a meeting took place during the holly month last ten-day bringing together local and foreign Christian communities along with evangelists led by the Jewish- born French preacher, Samuel Smitch head of the Protestant church of Tizi Ouizou (100 km from Algiers) and the Christian channel “ Al Hayet” who called on the French minister for human rights to press the Algerian authorities with the view to settle the situation of the Christian community based in Algeria.

•  The second campaign of its kind in which 1500 evangelists from various horizons took, lasted three days. The main theme of this forum discussed the notion of faith in the Christian religion. The first witnessed the intervention of the head of the Protestant church, who made a lecturer in which he slashed at the region’s religious saints calling on the evangelist to fight their beliefs because they ran into the inhabitants’ consciousness.
•  The second day was marked by a virulent and lengthy presentation made by Samuel Smitch in which he challenged the legitimacy of the sacrifice ritual sustaining his argumentation with a film projection of a distorted version of Abrahm’s story; making pauses at particular scenes to beef up his arguments, concluding with a series of pieces of advice to his audience calling them not to eat the sacrificed mutton if they didn’t convince members of their families to stop this ritual
•  The apex of the forum was the intervention on the last day of the Christian channel presenter who called on the evangelists to show solidarity and pray God to help the Algerian people getting read of the devil’s grip in converting the largest number possible to the Christian religion.
