Moroccan bomb smuggler behind Algiers attacks killed

A body of a drug smuggler who was known for belonging to criminal networks on Moroccan Algerian borders was found in the Moroccan town of Ouadjda few days ago, reliable sources told Echorouk.

• Algerian security forces identified the smuggler and found out that he was involved in big drug smuggling cases to Algeria across Morocco.
• Investigations showed that he was the leader of drug smuggling networks and he was “specialist in smuggling in all its forms.” He was behind the smuggling of bombs across borders to Algeria before they were taken to bomb workshops at the strongholds of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb in Algeria, formerly known as GSPC.
• Investigations showed that the smuggled bombs were used in the Algiers attacks on April 11th, 2007.
