Moroccan illegal migrants turn Algerian mosques into free dormitories

About 650 Moroccan specialized in the Islamic Architecture and Decoration have found opprtnities to work and live in Algeria in an illegal way.

• The Moroccans have been employed in the resortation and decoration of mosques and given permission to sleep there after work. Despite they illegally entered Algeria, they are now living in various ares of Algeria.
• Corroborating sources told Echorouk that religious affairs departments in some provinces  as well as some religious associations have resorted to the employment of illegal Moroccan migrants in Algeria to renovate and decorate the mosques in return for sleeping inside them.
• There are about 3,500 mosques across Algeria in the process of construction or renovation. That opened the Moroccans’ eyes to come to Algeria after knowing that the Algerian market’s needs for professional builders and artistes of decoration, tiling , garnishing and decoration.
•  These Moroccans have illegally entered through the western borders and begun working in private buildings and villas.
