Mosque of Paris ends the influence of Moroccan regime on the French Council of Religion

Religious establishment number one in France, has decided to participate in the elections of the French Council of Religion, “CFCM”, sources close to the Dean of the Paris mosque told Echorouk.

The same sources added that this will happen after adjusting the conditions and criteria for participation in the elections, as elections are indicating a large victory for Paris Mosque and finally pull the rug out from the Moroccan regime and groups that are loyal to it, and which seized control of the Council in its finished term.

Echorouk sources asserted that the elections of the Council of Religion on Saturday are heading towards the Mosque of Paris to reach an unprecedented victory, after amending the terms and regulations of participation in the elections, pointing out that the Paris Mosque, which represents Algeria decided to participate this time and not boycott elections due to the existence of favorable “conditions”that are also acceptable for the elections.

The source also mentioned as an example that the mosques which will run and have a right to representation are mosques that are structured with Imam salary and provide lessons of religion and the Quran and the Arabic language, while the conditions in the previous elections look to the mosque as space ans surface, although they are not structured,which pushed the Paris mosque to boycott. A map of mosques run by the Paris Mosque in France has not changed and is estimated at 400 Mosques, and 170 Framed for the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

A source close to Dalil Bou Baker explained that an activity has been done during the month of February last year between Paris Mosque and the Union of Islamic Organizations in France which are oriented to Muslim Brotherhood, and gathered Muslims in France although it is close to Morocco, and the Organization of Muslim Turks and Africans, which concluded the agreement to return to the presidency of the religion of the Paris Mosque due  to its strong representation on the ground, as the term will be for a period of six years.
