Mother dies after self immolation, little daughter died during the incident

An Algerian woman Chahra Hayat 38, died due to a self blaze with gasoline, and caused the death of her daughter after set fire on herself inside her home in Alma (east of Algeria).

The woman died due to the third-degree burns and after she stayed in the hospital four days to get a medical intensive care.

Echorouk visited the woman a few days ago at the hospital, where she was repeating the phrase: “My daughter .. my daughter Misha”.

“Misha” is the name of her two-year-old daughter Fawzia, who died after she embraced her mother while she was flaming with fire, as mentioned by those who attended the last words of Chahra, who died while repeating the same word.

Her sister and her friend tried to extinguish the fire from the woman’s body, but the flame reached their body and they get burned. And here came the innocent child, aged two years only, and when she saw the scene , she screamed: Mama .. Mama, “and then she hugged her mother, but the fire turned them into a charred body. Anyone who inspected the body of the girl sees her arms as if she was hugging someone.

With the increasing screaming, people tried to rescue the mother and her daughter, but fire was stronger than everyone. The scene did not end only after the intervention of the civil protection men, who took the wounded to the hospital where they were subjecting the mother to the intensive care, while the body of the innocent girl was transfered to the services of the bodies, then she was buried with the same position of arms.

The friend of the self blaze woman said that gasoline was bought for painting the apartment, so as to be used with the paint.
