Moves reveal importance of the Terrorists arrested by the Malian security forces

Sources close to the Malian security forces reveal that the terrorist “Mokhtar Belmokhtar” (Khaled Abou Alabass), known as “Alaouar”, leader of the “Masked” battalion in the GSPC, and the ninth region’s Emir in Hassan Hattab’s era, has begun negotiations underway for the release of the two Mauritanian terrorists, who were arrested a week ago, in a hideout in Kao city on the Algerian Malian borders.

• According to these sources, some dignitaries of “Albarabcha” tribe, one of the Arab Malian Touaregs, they agreed to mediation with the Malian authorities, and communicated with them to release the Mauritanian terrorists.
• Echorouk’s sources reported that these tribe dignitaries’ move came after a request from “Mokhtar Belmokhtar” who lived with them against the backdrop of intermarriage relationship that links him with the tribe, which settles at a depth of 200 km inside the Malian territories, in the region of Toudni, north of Timbuktu, near Enima region in the south-west of Mauritania, where the “Masked” battalion works.
• The same sources said that Belmokhtar suggested the two terrorists release in return for the two Austrian hostages liberation, at Abdelhamid Abou Zaid group, who is the leader of “Tarek Ben Ziad” battalion, belonging to the fifth region after they have been abducted in the Tunisian territories in March of this year, and the “Salafist Group” adopted the operation and identified a list of demands, including paying a ransom, before they agreed not to issue statements and keep the negotiations underway in secret.
