Mysterious disappearance of 28–year old woman in Bordj El Kiffan

Security services of the Bordj El Kiffan locality, on the eastern outskirts of Algiers, are still looking into the sudden disappearance of a 28 – year old woman who is feared to have been abducted.

• The woman, who is the mother of 3 children, came late last week from the small town of Beni Merad to Bordj El Kiffan together with her grand-mother to have a bath in the city-centre.
• Afterwards, the woman parted with her grand-mother to go to the hairdresser.
• She then phoned twice her grand-mother before abruptly vanishing 2 hours later with no news at all about her whereabouts.
• Being completely at a loss, her desperate grand-mother immediately informed the local security services who opened an investigation into the murky disappearance of this woman who is feared to have been kidnapped by a criminal gang.
• Her husband told investigators that he had no conflict whatsoever with his wife.
• Be that as it may, the ongoing inquiry will surely pinpoint the exact circumstances surrounding the affair.
• Last week, National Gendarmerie Forces arrested in the Beni Merad area a group of criminal offenders who sowed panic among the local inhabitants on account of their numerous misdeeds.
• 2 of them were remanded in provisional custody after standing trial before the El Harrach court and a third one is still at large.
