National coach Saâdane “fine-tunes” the Greens' tactical scheme ahead of Slovenia fixture

Yesterday's training session of the Algerian national football squad allowed national team coach Rabah Saâdane to fine-tune his strategy of play in expectation of next Sunday's decisive World cup fixture versus Slovenia in Polokwane stadium in the north of South Africa.

  • In view of the application game played yesterday by the Greens, Saâdane is widely expected to beef up the midfield with the aim of annihilating the expected counter-attacks by the Slovenia squad whose strikers are particularly quick and dangerous in the 18 yards.
  • According to Saâdane’s tactical scheme, Fawzi Chaouchi will be chosen as the goalkeeper while Bouguerra, Halliche and Antar Yahia will form the Greens’ defense line, according to sources from the technical staff.
  • In the midfield,  Hassan Yebda will be in charge of the right flank and Mehdi Lacen will be on the left side among the starting eleven. Yazid Mansouri is widely believed to be kept on the substitute bench versus Slovenia.
  • Saâdane will also incorporate Ziani, Belhadj and Matmour to help and bolster the attacking line. Rafik Djebbour is widely tipped to be the Greens’ striker against Slovenia instead of Ghezzal and Saifi who will be used as substitutes.
  • The same sources also said that subtitute midfielders Riad Boudebouz and Kadir could also be incorporated within the line-up at any time  according to the evolution of the Slovenia match by national coach Saâdane.
