TAMANRASSET – The national exhibition of traditional jewelry was inaugurated Thursday at Tamanrasset by the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Smail Mimoun.

Initiated by the Chamber of Crafts and Trades (CAM) of Tamanrasset, the show of traditional jewel, which lasts one week, is attended by sixty artisans from 14 provinces.

The exhibition covered a range of models associated with traditional jewelry and some other handicrafts such as brassware and leather goods.

The minister, during the visit of the stands, focused on the supply of necessary raw materials for craftsmen to ensure the continuity of craftsmanship. Regarding constraints in marketing the products encountered by many artisans from the region of Tamanrasset, Mimoun pledged to examine the question through the search for mechanisms to facilitate the commercialization of handicrafts
