National team coach Benchikha eyes several new players to beef up Algeria football line-up

Reliable sources told Echorouk that national coach Abdelhak Benchikha, is keenly following the performance of numerous players of the national first-league football championship with the aim of selecting the 23 best players ahead of the upcoming African cup of nations competition (CHAN) devoted solely to local African players.

• The same sources said that coach Benchikha was likely to finalize the roster of these players just after the forthcoming Algeria-Niger friendly match scheduled for January 23^rd 2011 in Algiers Olympic Stadium.

2011 might be cancelled on account of a lack of confirmation from the Tunisian Football Federation, according to the same sources.
