National team coach Rabah Saâdane
Sources close to the technical staff of the national football squad say that national team coach Rabah Saâdane has decided to exclude from the Algeria line-up striker Ziaya and midfielder Lamouchia for various reasons.
-
The same sources indicated that Rabah Saâdane was not satisfied with ES Setif striker Ziaya’s performance during the two fixtures versus Malawi and Nigeria as part of the recently-held Africa Cup of Nations football tournament hosted by Angola.
-
-
For Saâdane, Ziaya was unfortunetaly not up to the mark regarding his performance on the pitch.
-
-
As far as midfielder Lamouchia is concerned, the national coach also decided to do without him in the national squad on account of Lamouchia’s blameworthy behaviour towards Rabah Saâdane following the latter’s decision not to incorporate him within the starting eleven players versus Malawi.
-
-
Lamouchia who abruptly left Luanda in a bitter reaction, is reported to have used foul language with the technical staff including head coach Rabah Saâdane.
-
-
On the other hand, defender Slimane Raho was credited with a satisfying performance in the last fixture versus Nigeria by the national coach.
-
-
Raho was retained as a result in the line-up by Saâdane.
-
-
As for Samir Zaoui, this defender was vividly told to work more and harder in order to fulfill the coach’s criteria and expectations in the near future and thereby to avert being excluded from the team.
-
-
Furthermore, Rabah Saâdane is now intent on calling up fresh professional players to beef up the national squad including Mehdi Lacen, Rafik Djebbour, Amri Chedli and Ismail Bouzid in expectation of the Algeria-Serbia friendly match slated for March 3rd at the 5th of July Olympic stadium of Algiers as part of the preparations for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
