Neighboring countries responsible for the Algerian social plight: Prime minister says.

The Algerian former Prime Minister, Abdelaziz Belkhadem criticized forcefully the neighboring countries for being part in the social scourge which affects the young Algerian young people.

• He openly pointed at the role of these countries in transforming Algeria to a turn-table for drug trafficking and other social plagues including illegal immigration. M Belkhadem the subsidizing policy implemented by the Algerian authorities for the support on necessary food commodities benefits these countries rather than the Algerian society due to the growing phenomenon of contraband.
• Taking the floor before his party’s elected representatives, the former prime Minister called on the local executives to protect border regions and work for their development saying that “they have to double efforts to support the different security bodies in charge of the protection of the frontiers in order to spare the country from these phenomena which dilapidate the nation’s wealth”.
