New City Project “Sidi Abdellah”: 200.000 citizens to benefit from housing
Project of the new city “Sidi Abdellah”, west of the capital, will be launch officially on January, 5, 2013, and the housing units that will be built in this city will be granted to foreign construction companies from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Russia and India, according tothe base 51/49%.
The minister explained, during an inspection visit to the project of the new city Sidi Abdellah, along with the Minister of urban development, environment and the city, Amara Ben Younes, that the State did not specify any number of houses that would be constructed by foreign companies in Algeria, noting that the foreign company that could achieve 90.000 housing units is welcome, provided that it presented the necessary capabilities, adding that the number of pieces of land for the new city of Sidi Abdellah is still facing problems, as the new city is not yet bought from its owners.
The Ministry of Housing will start in the revival of the “ADL” program, which stopped for several years with a cota of 5.000 houses in many parts of the country, as they will be consider the files that were deposited by their owners for years, and stayed in the waiting; “The right holders will get their wish, because the ministry is betting on real housing and not on numbers”.
