New Hassi Messaoud City ready by 2018
The new city of Hassi Messaoud in southern Algeria will be achieved as early 2018 in compliance with International regulations and standards.

The study group in charge of this mega project, said that the deadline set for the completion of the building works could not exceed 96 months.

The construction works proper are expected to be launched in about 2 years’ time pending the carrying out of a broad geographical and town planning survey on the site of the future city.

The Energy and Mines Minister Chakib Khelil, who paid Thursday an inspection visit to the region, told Echorouk reporter on the spot that the opening of tender files, involving several national and foreign companies vying for the Hassi Messaoud building project, would take place this week in Algiers.

A 5 billion dollar package has been earmarked for the achievement of this tremendous project.
