New houses to eliminate shanty towns in Algiers
The head of Algiers’ real estates offices Mohammed Rahaymiya Wednesday revealed that the capital city benefited from 35 thousand house units to be distributed across the different localities as part of a national campaign initiated by the Algerian president to eradicate slums which includes 100 thousand house units.

Three Chinese construction companies won the bid to build these houses which, according to the agreement, have to comprise three bedrooms with a global size of 70 square metres.
