New law in the offing to dry up corruption sources
The government will tomorrow discuss during his meeting the revised provisions added to the law governing the public contracts, through the intervention of the finance minister Karim Djoudi who will present the presidential decree concerning the implementation of the law over the strategic public companies like Sonatrach and Sonelgaz.

The law is designed also to support the national products and other national companies with special incentive measures in favour of some public companies that will benefit from mutual agreement contracts in a move to keep them afloat and reduce the cost of tenders concerning small projects.
-
-
The presidential decree is due to be endorsed by the government tomorrow during the first meeting after the latest ministerial reshuffle and will coincide with the launch of the five- year plan decided by the president whose total coast is estimated at USD 286 billions.

-
This “pharaoh” program should be accompanied by legal procedures likely to prevent corruption and money embezzlement.
-
-
The revised law forces all the Algerian public companies to abide legislation including those that made the exception in the past on account of their strategic activities like “Sonatrach” and “Sonelgaz”.
-
-
The government has reacted to the legal vacuum used by some parties to seal contracts for their own benefits putting aside the public companies’ interests as it was the case in the latest financial scandal that jolted one of the biggest Hydrocarbons Company in Africa and the world alike, Sonatrach.
