New political parties to be accredited by the end of 2011, Interior Minister
New political parties to be accredited end of the current year, after the completion of the ratification of laws ordered by the President Bouteflika, Interior Minister Dahou Ould Kablia said on Monday during a session devoted to discuss the draft municipal law that grants accreditation for new political parties.
“The new parties will be able to participate in the coming benefits. An amendment of constitution cannot be a priority, because political amendments are more important, and this is the president’s decision”, he added.
“This law would allow political parties to participate in the legislative and local elections scheduled in 2012”, he asserted, taking advantage of the circumstance to respond to MSP’s Bougerra Soultani who called, during the session for political consultations with Ben Saleh on Sunday, on the necessity to give priority to the amendment of constitution under the pretext that it is the father of laws saying.
Interior Minister’s report said that the Commission of Consultations was appointed weeks ago at the Interior Ministry and the nature of its task is different from that of the Political Commissions led by the Speakers of Parliament Abdelkader Ben Saleh, because the first body does not depend on calling representatives of political parties and national personalities, and is keen to respect technical and administrative standards associated with reforms, during the review of municipal and state laws, elections and parties.
In his interpretation of the phenomenon of kidnappings in the Kabylie region, the minister said it is not new and carried out by terrorists or criminals, but they are just isolated cases, adding that security services seek to spread over the region in order to control the situation.
