A new classification will enable rural policemen to get in conformity with other security services.

According to reliable sources, the Algerian government has officially stated on the status of the so called “rural policemen” and defined its duties and its rightsalike

This new classification will enable the rural policemen to get in conformity with other security services such as the national gendarmerie and customs officers and give the opportunity for graduate people to join this corps

.

As to the salary of the rural policemen, a substantial hike will be included estimated at nearly 20%.The overall number of rural policemen countrywide is ething like 110 thousands elements.

The interior has established prior conditions for people willing to enlist within this corps including a maximum age of 50 years and minimum instruction level in addition to the obligation of bearing the Algerian citizenship for the new recruit.

This corps has been created in 1994 amid exceptional circumstances at that time and the majority of the recruits had a very weak academic standard.
