New radars to take pictures of reckless drivers, detect minutest details

Gendarmerie units and police were enhanced with thousands of modern radar devices featured with very high techniques, as capturing images of the driver and the car and the numbered plate, and monitor the stolen vehicles through the large volume of data base of the vehicle, as well as the detection of all illegal numbered plates, particularly the reflective rays radar, as the Algerian authorities work at the moment, on the acquisition of modern radars, which are capable of covering the territorial waters to detect infiltration and smuggling of people across the sea.

Colonel Ben Noman Mohammed Tahier, director of public security, at the National Gendarmerie, told Echorouk, that it is about radars type “Provida 2000” and “Timbucam 2” that have peculiar characteristic in capturing the image of the car driver in the case of excessive speed, and detect the stolen vehicles through a large database that they contain.

The radars that were newly installed in the highway, national and local roads, and inside the cities, can detect that plates that are traded, and contain reflect radiation that are shot by the old radar.
