Students to hand out the books they have been given in the beginning of the academic year receive their notice for the baccalaureate exams.

Several education institutions asked their students to hand out the books they have been given in the beginning of the academic year, as a primary condition to receive their notice for the baccalaureate exams, arguing that the students must give back their books or pay the price I case of losses.

  • This decision has sparked a large wave of controversy among the students, who didn’t receive their serial numbers as well as the names of their examination centers yet, qualifying it as arbitrary and unfair since they still I need of these pedagogical tools to carry on their revisions.
  • Some students in Algiers were surprised to receive notices from their respective high schools demanding them to either handout the books or pay the money or substitute the lost books with others.
  • According to sources, the decision was generalized to all the education institutions across the country and that the students, who acquired the books for free because they couldn’t afford to pay them due to financial difficulties, were summoned to return them back at the end of the academic year.
