No foreign aid for Algeria

Algeria does not need foreign aid said the PM, Ahmed Ouyahia, “There are nine municipalities in Ghardaia province, South of Algeria, considered as disaster areas after the last flooding. He added, “We control the situation, and allocated 20 billion Dinars to reconstruct the cityâ€.

Ouyahia confirmed; “We do not accept international aid because we are able to hold the situation, and we refuse charity abroad”. He added; “Algeria is economically stable and do not need any international aid”.

The prime minister said; “Flooding of Ghardaia killed 34, injured 89 and one id reported missing”. The families whose houses were demolished or severily affected are living in transitional shelters.

Regarding the situation of the housing units in the affected area, Ouyahia mentioned; “Technical teams and construction experts examined 9600 houses, and found that 600 houses are classified among red mark category, that is to be demolished, 1250 orangemark, and 8.000 green” marked as safe.
