OPEC to meet in Algeria Dec 17
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will hold an extraordinary ministerial meeting in Algeria on December 17, OPEC sources said on Tuesday.

Algeria’s oil minister is the current president of the oil group. The presidency rotates between members annually, and in recent years the producer group has held an extraordinary meeting in the country holding the office.

OPEC, supplier of more than a third of the world’s oil, is next scheduled to meet in Vienna in Sept 9 to discuss oil output policy.

The meeting in Algeria will be held in Oran, one source said.
