Opposition Parties Boycott Voting on the New Parliament's Structures

Deputies in the National People’s Assembly criticised the way of voting on the new structures of the parliament, saying that the head of the Parliament Arbi Ould Khalifa did not calculate the votes of supporters and opponents of the composition of this body carefully, at the time deputies of Algeria Green Bloc, the Labour party, FFS, ‭ ‬ and the Party for Justice ‭ ‬ and ‭ ‬ Development refuse to vote ‭ ‬, especially ‭ ‬ as the Secretary General of the Labour Party, ‭ ‬ Louisa Hanoune was absent for ‭ ‬ the second time. ‬

Head of the parliamentary group of FFS, Ahmed Batatache, criticised the way of voting, saying that the non-compliance with the procedures of the appointment meeting is against the basic rules of the law and it violates all the measures of calculating the votes accurately.

Deputies of the Party for Justice and Development refused to join the hall of meetings, as its head , Lakhdar Ben Khallaf , said that they have not received an invitation to attend the inauguration of structures of the new parliament, this is why they are not interested in the ratification of its new structures, including the Office of the Council, as the deputies of Algeria Green Bloc also refused to vote.

Chairman of the parliamentary group Noaman Laouar insisted on requesting a point of order, while Arabi Ould Khalifa refused ot respond, as the bloc was seeking to explain its position on boycotting the structures of parliament, to protest the results of the elections, describing them as false and untrue.
