Opposition Parties Call Upon Authorities to Devote Compatibility in Parliament

Opposition parties called on the authorities to work with the system of compatibility in the new National People’s Assembly, in order to overcome the problem of credibility that is pursuing the parties which won the elections, and to avoid the impact on the rest of the laws of reforms that are waiting for embodiment, particularly the amendment of Constitution.
Political parties, which agreed on the catastrophic consequences of the results that emerged from the last elections, estimated that resorting to the logic of the majority in the ratification of the laws to be presented to the upcoming parliament, will create a crisis of legitimacy, which chased the previous councils, and affected the credibility of the laws that they enacted.
Head of the Parliamentary Group for “Green Algeria Bloc” at the NPA (APN), Nomane Laouar, said “the crisis of legitimacy that pursue the majority that emerged from the results of 10 May elections, can be overcame, in one case, which is the agreement of political parties in parliament to work with the system of compatibility, instead of the majority system. However if the parties that are holding the majority are stuck to their system, there would be no result “.
“The credibility of the present composition of the National People’s Assembly is facing doubts, and a lot of MPs need legitimacy, and this requires dialogue, and thinking of an appropriate solution, which would spare the rest of the laws of reforms from criticism, which affected the first group of laws, that was partisan and poured in for a certain point “, he added.
Head of the Party for Freedom and justice, Mohammed Assaid, agrees with the view of the representative of the “Green Bloc,” saying; “We hoped that 10 May elections will result in a parliament with more representatives of the political forces in order to ensure the enactment of laws, as to reflect the desire of the largest possible number of political forces, However; the results of elections produced one political power that is dominating the parliament”.
