Otri: Syrian-Algerian Higher Committee to Sign 21 Agreements in Upcoming Meeting

Damascus, (SANA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Naji Otri said on Friday that 21 agreements are expected to be signed during the Syrian-Algerian Higher Committee meetings, which will take place in Algeria in April 10-12.

• In a statement, Otri pointed out that the agreements will cover cooperation, construction companies, Syrian workers and various other cooperation fields, hoping that the meetings will help boost cooperation between the countries to benefit their peoples.
• He stressed that President Bashar al-Assad and President Abdelaziz Bouteflika gave special attention to developing Syrian-Algerian relations, and that the two countries’ governments will realize this by increasing economic and commercial cooperation in all fields.
• The previous session of the Committee in October 2008 resulted in singing 11 agreements, cooperation protocols and executive programs in the fields of exports, agriculture, trade, health, social affairs, higher education, scientific research, cultural cooperation and transport, in addition to establishing a businessmen council.
