Ould Khalifa’s absence from the opening of parliament due to illness

Absence of the speaker of the People’s National Assembly Larbi Ould Khalifa from the works of the opening of the Autumn Session of parliament, due to the operation which he carried out by the last week end, at the Ain Naadja’s military hospital in Algiers.

Deputy-speaker Ali Hamel chaired the proceedings of the opening of the autumn session.

Hamel revealed in the Opening of the Legislative Autumn Session, that the Council will address a number of draft laws, including the draft Complementary Finance Law for 2014, and the draft law on telecommunications and information technologies, the law of audiovisual and bill of Mines, and the amended and complementary bill of the Penal Code, and the draft law on biological resources, as well as the amended and complementary bill, and the law regulating prisons and social reintegration of detainees.

The work program also includes the draft law on kids’ protection, and the draft law on social cooperative, and the draft law which specified the general rules of civil aviation, and the draft law on the activities of the book market, as well as the draft law which amended and supplemented the law of the anti-smuggling, the amended and complemented bill of the Customs Law.
