Ouyahia submits plan to Parliament

Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia is expected to present his plan of action to the National Assembly (APN) next Sunday for the execution of the president’s program, APN said Tuesday.

Algeria’s new constitution, adopted in November, stipulates that the Prime Minister must submit a plan of action to Parliament. It is meant for the execution of the president’s program.

The Prime Minister’s plan will deal with the four months left in the present presidential mandate and the achievement of underway projects.

Parliament members will discuss the plan of action which can be readjusted after consultation with the president of the republic.

Ahmed Ouyahia who was head of government resigned after the new constitution was adopted. He was appointed by President Abdelaziz Bouteflika prime minister in November along with a partial cabinet reshuffle subsequent to the constitutional amendment.
