Ouyahia, Zerhouni return to political life

Two politicians who made in the last decade, the former Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, and former Interior Minister, Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni decided suddenly to return to the political life. What is the secret of this correlation in the two men’s appearance, who went out of the narrow door of the government.

In less than a week, the APS (Algerian Press Service) published two ordinary announcements, but those who read them did not hesitate to ask about the background to this sudden appearance of two men who remained over the years in positions of quality in the pyramid of the state, and quickly linked between them and the future of the upcoming Presidential Elections, the former Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, and his deputy Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni.

On last Sunday, the agency reported that the head of the African Union Commission Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, suggested to the former Secretary General of the National Democratic Rally (RND), Ahmed Ouyahia, to lead the African Mission to monitor the legislative elections in Mauritania, which was conducted earlier this week.

Then, in a matter of less than a week, the agency (APS) which does not move out in vain, reported the intervention of one of the leading men of the Ministry of armament and public relations (Malg), who came back strongly for the interface since the arrival of President Bouteflika, to the palace of Mouradia in 1999, before he disappears from sight since the ministerial change, which was conducted in the 2011, in a forum on “economic Intelligence”, that was organized in Oran, western Algeria, on the role of the intelligence service that was established by the late Abdelhafid Boussouf in “Evian” negotiations.
