Over 300 women involved in Algeria smuggling networks
A total of 307 women were involved in smuggling different goods across border points in Algeria while 22 women were behind abductions of tens of children, according to a security report.

“More than 100 women were involved in prostitution networks and 241 others perpetrated violent acts causing serious injuries to their victims,” said the same report.

Women are also involved in illegal immigration. The National Gendarmerie forces say they arrested 192 females trying to smuggle themselves to the other side of the Mediterranean Sea.

Some 127 women were arrested for stealing and forgery while 47 others were accused of murders.
