The European green party has called for the creation of a parliamentarian committee to investigate on the professional gross errors made by the French intelligence services in the treatment of the case of the so called “ Butcher of Toulouse Monteauban”, Mohamed Merah.

The suggestion was forwarded to the French justice minister Christanne Tobira and a committee is due to be set next January, the green MP Noel Mammere has announced yesterday.

The MP has asserted that several mistakes have been made by the lawyers and all the parties that conducted the investigation including the French intelligence services, and the aim of this committee is not to reveal the truth and break the block out only, but to review the working system of the French intelligence services that have been restructured by the former president Sarkozy also.

M Mammere has indicated that the committee will include 30 MPs from different political parties seating in the parliament, noting the similarities between Merah’s case and the so called “ Karachi” case.
