Party leader Louiza Hannoune to Echourok: Bouteflika has to sack some ministers
The leader of the Algerian labors party , Louiza Hanoune hailed the governmental measures decided during the latest meeting of the cabinet chaired by the president Bouteflika especially those related to agriculture and housing sectors, but has linked the success of their enactment to a partial reshuffle of the members of this cabinet.
- Louiza Hanoune has indicated that government can fulfil the program ordered by the president during the last ministerial meeting provided that the head of state proceeds to a slight change in the cabinet’s members “ The problem doesn’t lie in Bouteflika but in his entourage” .
- The party leader went on saying “ There are some who are very skilled despite the heavy legacy of the reforms , labelling others by “ a burden on the people’s shoulders” declining to name them, everybody knows , she said, the mediocre ministers and those have to resign”.
- Talking at “ Echourok” Forum” the party leader hailed the government’s efforts to facilitate access to housing and free medical cares as well as education” I defy any country in the world that provides such a staggering number of housing units to their citizens as well as free education and medical cares like in Algeria”. She has added” Algeria has never ceased to be a welfare state”.
- Louiza Hanoune considers that the economic reforms initiated by the president Bouteflika since 2008 is a strong signal from the authorities aiming consolidating the reforms and fully retrieve the Algerian sovereignty over its economy. She further added that these reforms were a blow to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank but they should be expanded to all sectors of activities.
- The party leader called for immediate measure to calm the furry of the social front including the dissolution of the parliament and the organization of early legislative elections, because she considers that some MPs in this institution are only blackmailing the president.
- Some Parties in the presidential coalition are taking advantage from the situation
- Louiza Hanoune has accused some parties in the coalition who target the Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia whom “ she considers as a corner stone in the reforms’ process”. The party leader has overtly pointed at those who stand behind the plot “ Ahmed Ouyahia is a fighter and acknowledges his faults whenever necessary but there are some parties under cover of the presidential coalition who draw benefit from their political position to fulfill their personal goals”.
- She has criticized some ministers branding them as “ dead leaves on fruited tree” calling for a more severe treatment with those who failed in their tasks.
- Louiza Hanoune has brushed aside all comparison with between the president Bouteflika and his fellow Arab heads of state “ Bouteflika is not like Mubarek, Ben Ali and Moamar Al Gaddafi adding that Algeria is not a democracy like that one practiced in the Western countries but is not also a dictatorship like the one existing in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia”.
- She has also indicated that” I cannot conceive that the president Bouteflika orders his army to open fire on the Algerians” considering that” the problem is not linked to Bouteflika and his Prime Minister but to some of their ministers and pseudo MPs”.
