Insurgents stepped up their rhetoric about the way which the high authorities dealt with their file and demands, which they said it remains in its place, threatening to organise a mass protest to Algiers, that will be stronger than the “protest of dignity”, if authorities will not open dialogue and respond to the raised demands.
They call upon the local coordinators to join the national office in Boufarik, to gather and set the latest statistics and demands on the current May 11, before marching to Algiers in the end of the month.
Representatives of the patriots said in an interview with Echorouk on Tuesday , that a number of regional coordinators met on last April 27, and agreed that the insurgents are living in a critical condition, and their demands will be realised peacefully before the protests that will be organised by 50.000 patriots who will invade the capital, including activists and even injured, in addition to agents of self defence and municipality guards.
Official spokesman of the National Coordination of Insurgents, Tarek Chekrouni, which emerged from the aforesaid meeting, said that the responsibility of the protest in Algiers has been taken in consideration after the authorities found that they are in situation of weakness, following the meeting that brought then with number of officials, such as the head of the nation’s council and the Finance Minister, Said Bouteflika, adviser to the President and Amara Ben Younes, and Zahra Drifa Bitat, as a senator of the former presidential one third, in addition to the various political parties- except with the National Democratic Rally that was the source of betrayal-.
“These meetings did not bring results.Authorities should apply the law of soldiers on Patriots, considering that they belong to the sector and were active during the red decade along with soldiers of the National People’s Army, and work on integrating all the dismissed, with increasing the grants of injured and studying the file of insurgents who suffer mental defects during service, I’m addition to material and moral recognising of this category’s efforts.”.
Patriots’ representatives are expected to meet, during the next two weeks, with the former President Liamine Zatoual to discuss their concerns, because he is the first responsible for their recruitment during the Nineties.
