Perfidious Morocco’s Regime Is A Pivotal Link In The Zionist Entity’s Influence In Africa
Despite the overwhelming popular anger in the Kingdom of Morocco, stemming from Rabat’s shameful stance on the Palestinian issue, the Alawi Palace continues its awful policies that contradict the legitimate aspirations of the Moroccan people, by engaging more than ever in strengthening its relations with the Zionist entity, amidst the Zionist recklessness in Gaza and the Arab and Islamic regions.
While the lives of innocent people are still being taken in Gaza, southern Lebanon, and Syria by the Zionist military machine, the Moroccan regime sees no objection to strengthening its relations with this usurping entity.
This is a fact that Rabat tried to conceal, but Tel Aviv, as usual, refused to keep this rapprochement behind closed doors and decided to expose the Alawi Palace with a statement circulated publicly.
In this regard, the army of the usurping entity announced the conclusion of the third meeting of the Joint Military Committee with the Moroccan regime, held in Tel Aviv, under the supervision of the planning and foreign relations bodies of the entity’s army, by signing the joint action plan for 2026. This statement was met with complete silence from the Alawi Palace.
The source revealed several meetings during the past week in the capital of the Zionist entity, which included representatives of the Moroccan army, in addition to organizing visits to units in the Zionist army, defense industries, and military units. Strategic discussion seminars were also organized, addressing capacity building from a strategic perspective.
The common goals of cooperation between the two expansionist armies were also discussed. These meetings come five years after the normalization of political, military, security, and diplomatic relations between the Moroccan regime and the usurping entity within the framework of what is known as the “Abraham Accords.”
This shameful station is added to many stations in the normalization train between Rabat and Tel Aviv, which officially started in December 2020. However, the last station in this regard was in late November 2021, when the Moroccan regime signed a security cooperation agreement with its Zionist counterpart during the visit of the then-Minister of Defense of the entity, Benny Gantz, to Morocco, followed by mutual military visits between the two sides.
Commenting on this shameful stance by the Alawi Palace, Mr. Bachir Mohamed Lahcen, a researcher at the University of Seville in Spain, believes that what happened is expected from two regimes that share many similarities.
The researcher told “Echorouk,” commenting on this event: “This was expected, as both are occupying regimes of others’ land, and both have expansionist ambitions in neighboring countries. They also share the characteristic of having no known borders that expand whenever the occupier is able to expand.”
Mr. Bachir Mohamed Lahcen added: “This cooperation reveals that the perfidious Moroccan regime has become a pivotal link in the Zionist entity’s influence in Africa, specifically in the north of the continent,” noting that “the Makhzen regime believes that putting all its eggs in the basket of the Zionist entity will guarantee it military superiority, but in reality, it is deluded.”
The researcher at the University of Seville in Spain sounded the alarm about the penetration of the Zionist entity into the Maghreb region due to the functional role assigned to the Moroccan regime, saying: “This is a warning to the peoples and countries of the region, because this cooperation is a real danger to the entire region.
This step justifies the continued closure of the Algerian-Moroccan borders, and justifies the caution, vigilance, and armament programs that Algeria has entered to defend its land and preserve its sovereignty against this devastating threat.”
The continued assumption by the Moroccan regime of the role of a functional state in the Maghreb region could lead to “repercussions on Algerian relations with the Moroccan regime, because Algeria is known for its historical positions supporting the Palestinian people and rejecting any form of normalization, while the Makhzen regime is moving in the completely opposite direction by submitting and flattering the usurping entity.”
Mr. Bachir Mohamed Lahcen concluded by reminding that all Arab countries that normalized with the usurping entity “did not gain any benefit, whether Egypt, Jordan, or Mauritania (formerly), and even the countries that normalized recently,” referring to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to the Moroccan regime.
