Polish embassy in Algiers denies visas for members of an Algerian football club
The Polish consulate in Algiers, Algeria, has asked from the managers of the Algerian football club MC Alger to double check the list of the members of its delegation as part of a visa application to this country.

The club forwarded a list of 47 members submitted to the consulate in a move to get a visa ahead of the preseason preparation, but the Polish authorities replied negatively and asked them either to reconsider their list or they will be denied visas.

The club was obliged to reduce the number to 39 members instead of 47 but didn’t prevent some opportunists to get advantage from the situation, it said.

The Polish consulate has demanded from the football club to stick to the names of the delegation that booked at one of the hotels in Poland, where the preparation is due to tazke place.

The Polish consulate has exceptionally opened its offices on Friday to satisfy the request of the Algerian delegation.

The club is due to fly today to Warsaw, Poland, thorough the Italian capital, Rome for a two week training camp.
