President of Football Federation pressures the coach to make changes in the line-up
A lengthy meeting took place the day before yesterday between the President of the Algerian Football Federation and the national head coach Rabah Saadane at the Federation’s premises where both men dissected the reasons behind the Algeria squad’s severe blow versus Serbia in the friendly match that took place here in Algiers, Echourok has learnt.

Several issues have been discussed during the meeting including the future perspectives of the Algerian national team ahead of their participation into the World Cup tournament. Among the important issues that the two men dwelt on is the question of the professionals that are not playing regularly in their respective clubs.

Mohammed Raouraoua has, in this respect, called on the Algerian coach to pull aside the players who don’t play in their clubs regardless of their statutes in the Algerian national squad.

In view of this decision, players like Mourad Meghenni, Antar Yahia and Karim Ziani are most likely prone to be excluded from the South African adventure because they don’t play in their clubs. It should be noted that these players are inactive since more than a month.

Although he has declared in a press conference that preceded the match versus Serbia, that he will count on Ziani and Antrar Yahia even if they don’t play regularly, the recent setback has showed to daylight the Algeria squad’s weaknesses.
