Previous Guantanamo’s detainee offers a poster to Echourouk
Faouzi Ouseddik gives the present to Echorouk's publisher.

Al Jazeera’s cameraman, Sami Al Hadj incarcerated under the serial 345, offered Algeria a poster entitled “The truth price” which portrays him behind the bars, and wrote on it a message calling the Algerian people, whom he refers as, “The one and half million martyrs”, to support the 24 Algerian detainees in Guatanamo and take part in the campaign for the closure of the shameful camp.

  • The present was forwarded Tuesday by the head of the international committee for support of Sami Al hadj, Faouzi Ouseddik to the head of “Echourouk” newspaper, Ali Fodhil, as a gesture of gratitude towards the daily newspaper and its relentless efforts to promote human rights all over the world.
  • In this respect, M. Oussedik praised the newspaper initiative to launch a campaign for the collection of 1 million signatures for the release of Sami Al Hadj which contributed in the release of the cameraman, according to him.
  • He also extended Sami Al Hadj’s thanks to the newspaper for the total support during his years behind the bars, where he underwent atrocities and all types of tortures, forcing him to go on hunger strike for more than two years.
