Protests paralyze Algiers’ post offices
Post office employees Wednesday started a large protest campaign causing a total freeze of the activities in most of Algiers’ offices, in reaction to the administration’s decision to sack four managers in the same company.

One of the employees was evacuated to the emergencies downtown due to hypoglycemia when facing protests from his fellow employees. The situation was about to get out of control if not the intervention of police officers who did their best to ease tension.

According to the union’s representatives, the movement was largely followed by the employees and vowed to carry on their protest, unless the general manager steps down, blamed for being responsible of all their problems.
