Pt Bouteflika to meet with ministers for signing of 2014 finance law
The President of the Republic, Abdellaziz Bouteflika, has summoned the cabinet ministers for the holding of a council of ministers’ meeting slated for next Monday with on the agenda the signing by the head of state of the 2014 draft finance law, one day before the expiry of the legal deadline for the document to be officially initialed.
The upcoming council of ministers meeting is the second of the like since the beginning of this year after that chaired by President Abdellaziz Bouteflika on September 29th 2013 during which he endorsed the finance bill to clear the way for its conveyance to the national popular assembly for a free-wheeling debate prior to its approval.
Reliable sources told Echorouk that among other items on the agenda of the forthcoming council of ministers’ meeting stand a draft law N° 20-70 related to the civil status as well as another one linked to securities and travel documents notably the projected extension of the validity of the Algerian passport from 5 years to 10 years in addition to the examining of draft law related to the general rules and regulations of civil aviation.
Next Monday’s council of ministers will also deal with the ratification of a number of international conventions signed between Algeria and several foreign countries and world institutions.
The same sources also apprised Echorouk of the authorities’ non-availability for the moment to include the outstanding issue related to the revamping of certain major clauses of the current constitution in the agenda of the upcoming council of ministers’ meeting.
