Qatar PM and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabor Al-Thani and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Algiers International Airport by Speaker of the Algerian National Council Abdelkader Bensalah, Foreign Minister Mourad Madalsi and Qatari Ambassador to Algeria Mubarak Mohamed Al- Noaimi and the Embassy staff.

• Qatar’s PM and Foreign Mininster confirmed Saturday “ There are important relationships between Algerian and Qatar. Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Qatar’s king Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani have ancient relationships”.

• He explains during meeting with president Bouteflika that his visit aimed at exchanging ideas and concerns that are important for both countries, especially the Middle East crisis.

• “Algeria is an important member at the League of Arab States and a positive contributor in solving the Lebanese crisis”, he explained.
•  
• “We always rely on Algeria in solving Arab issues”, he added.    
•  Qatar’s PM and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassem Bin Jabor Al Thani visited New York Wednesday in order to take part in the High-Level meeting on interfaith and cultures dialogue held under auspices of the United Nations, at the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, at the UN General Assembly Headquarters.
• Qatar and Algeria already agreed upon a wide program for cooperation in many fields such as trade and economy, higher and secondary education, and health.

• Algerian Interior minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni will visit Qatar Sunday.
