Rafik Djebbour scores his third goal for the season

Algeria's Rafik Djebbour scored his third goal in the season Sunday leading AEK Athens over PAOK Thessaloniki 1-0 in the Greek league.

  • The 25-year-old   player who is playing currently as a striker in AEK Athens, scored the goal with a powerful header off a cross by defender Nikos Georgeas in the 45th minute.  
  • On November 1, 2008, Djebbour scored his first goal for AEK . It was a Bicycle kick and was scored in the 93rd minute of the game against Asteras Tripolis which gave AEK a 2-1 lead.
  • On January 11th, he scored the winning goal for AEK on the national derby between AEK and PAOK. The goal was scored in the 44th minute with a header .
  • With the third Djebbour goal , AEK Athens moved into fourth place on the Greek Super League table with 28 points, five less than both PAOK and Panathinaikos. Olympiakos leads with 42 points. 
  • In the end of the match the Algerian player wore Palestinian keffieh to express his support with Palestinian people in Gaza who are suffering from Israeli massacres. He becomes  the third player who shows his support to Palestine after Canote and Abou trika .
