Rais M’bolhi moves from Bulgaria's Slavia to Russia’s FK CSKA
Algerian national team goalkeeper Raïs M'Bolhi upon receiving the award for best goalie in Bulgaria for 2009

Algeria’s international football team goalkeeper Raïs M'Bolhi will no longer play for Bulgarian team Slavia, but will continue to fellow Sofia great Russian FK CSKA, Sofia News Agency reproted on Monday, August 30. 

  • M’Bolhi was loaned tothe Primir-Liga club FK CSKA  in moscow until December to fill in the position of goalkeeper which the red team felt unstable due to poor performances by its other goalkeepers.
  • It was reported that M’Bolhi was no longer willing to play for Slavia, notwithstanding the fact that he had earned for himself the position of an audience favorite, with fans naming him best player for last season.
  • Earlier this summer the Algerian goalkeeper was tried by Manchester United, trained with West Ham and was reportedly requested by Newcastle.
  • Raïs M’Bolhi started is stint in Bulgaria in summer 2009, when he joined Slavia. He was named “Best Goalkeeper” for 2009 in the A Group of the Bulgarian national football championship.
  • Slavia made an unconvincing showing last season, something that has continued in the new 2010-2011 season. Last season Slavia finished sixth.
