RCD party leader Said Saadi dubs Algerian President Bouteflika as allied to islamists
The leader of the RCD party Said Saadi has said that Algerian president Abellaziz Bouteflika has proved to be an ally of the islamist trend in Algeria.
Speaking in an interview with an Arab TV Channel, Said SADI argued that President Bouteflika’s open policy towards the islamists had allowed the Al-Qaeda terror network to set foot in North Africa and in the Sahel region after failing to set foot in Algeria via neighbouring Morocco and Tunisia, as he put it.
According to the RCD party leader, this laxist policy towards the islamists has dissapointed most segments segments of the Algerian population in view of the terrible hardships sustained by the Algeian people in the 90’s.
Said SADI underlined that such a laxist policy could have untold consequences as it will only embolden the Al Qaeda terror group to take root in Algeria and sow further mayhem as it has done in Iraq and elsewhere.
