Reconciliation Commission resumes meetings in Algeria

National commission in charge of the National Reconciliation will meet soon to deal with emergency measures in favor of repentant terrorists, missing people and victims' families in Algeria.

Officials say the National Commission in charge of following the implementation of the Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation would be summond by Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia for the meeting.

The Commission will have to prepare a balance sheet regarding the implementation of the Charter. Algerian Ministries of Interior, Justice, National Solidarity, Employment and Finance would be involved.

The Charter for Peace and National Reconciliation, suggested by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika passed via a referendum in February 2005. It constituted an attempt stop violence wave by offering an amnesty for a large number of terrorists.
