Religious Affairs Ministry:”Salafist Movement is a foreign invasion of Algeria”

Emergence of the Salafist, Wahhabi, Shiite, Ahmadi and Takfirist movements in Algeria during the recent years is due to a foreign invasion through the satellite channels, General Inspector at the Religious Affairs Ministry, Mohamed Aissa said on Sunday.

“Among these movements the Ahmadi which is a sect that has a relationship with the foreign channels like the international Zionism, which is aiming to disturb the ruling authority in the Maghreb region and Arab world, under the pretext of organising political movements”.
Guest of the radio Chanel 3, recognised that the chapels at universities are not controlled by the Religious Affairs Ministry, while they are the best place for the movement of sects in order to attack youth, under the condition of having a prior authorisation before inviting any preacher or imam from abroad.
In the same context, the General Inspector of the Religious Affairs Ministry asserted on Sunday that both bills on reorganising the establishment of associations of a religious nature, and the organisation of building and arranging the mosques, were deposited at the public secretariat of the government.
